Kelly Monestime, Owner + Marketing Enthusiast
Kelly has an extensive background in advertising and marketing, as well as business strategy and organizational culture. After graduating from Bryant College magna cum laude with a major in marketing and minor in psychology, Kelly worked in the residential mortgage industry for just under ten years. Developing marketing strategies in both the business to consumer and business to business sectors gave her the opportunity to learn first-hand about understanding target markets, developing varying value propositions and crafting effective marketing messages to position companies as a solution in the mind of the consumer.
Kelly spent 13 years at one of the Boston region’s largest, independent accounting firms where she helped the firm to triple its revenues. She was responsible for guiding marketing strategy and planning for the firm while creating a marketing culture that was a breeding ground for growth. Some of the major accomplishments achieved include expanding a regional niche to having a national footprint; driving client retention and cross-servicing; lead generation, pursuit and management; developing the firm’s identity, value proposition and differentiation strategies; establishing core values and the firm’s resulting culture; and implementing a leadership academy designed to develop the firm’s next generation of leaders, thereby assisting with succession planning. In her role as Chief Marketing Officer, Kelly saw the firm accomplish double digit organic growth percentages year after year.
Working closely with the firm’s leading partner gave Kelly a wide breadth of experience, doing everything it takes to transform an organization. From long-term strategic planning, annual goal setting and marketing initiative execution to motivating teams, developing an organizational culture and leading diversity groups, Kelly prides herself in doing whatever is necessary to make a business successful.
In 2017, Kelly started Monestime Marketing with the goal of providing clients with small and medium sized budgets with the business strategy, marketing planning and execution they need to achieve their dreams. Her successful experience is valuable in helping Kelly make recommendations that make sense—and work!
